Coyote down

Postby xring » Mon Feb 08, 2010 1:19 pm

Baylor got his first coyote saturday morning. We sat up on one of his grandpa's place's with a north wind hitting us in the face. After only one series of calls this yote came bouncing in working his way around to the right to try and get the wind on us. I started sqeaking and he turned and headed directly for us. Baylor did well getting the gun and sticks turned and once he had him in the scope he said, " Dad, stop him." I said something like, Hey! and he stopped about fifty yards facing us. The shot was dead center chest and decisive. When it went down Baylor turned and looked at me and said, "that was awesome!" You can see in the picture that it was small and pretty maingy so I was glad to get this one out of the pack. Preditor hunting is fun for kids because you don't have to sit in one place to long so he liked that.
