Women who hunt

Postby adkman » Mon Dec 01, 2008 8:46 pm

I know that there are lots of female archery huntress out there. This is my wife and her buffalo. I know it isn't a traditional bow but I guess the animal is about as traditional as you can get. 38# draw 28 yd shot on the move one arrow recovery 82 yards. You don't go far when your hart is ripped open.

I love this sport and I encourage my boys in shooting their bows too! Like mother like son....

I once heard the quote and I believe it completely..."Teach a man to hunt, and he will hunt. Teach a women to hunt and the whole family will hunt"...

So true!

This is my Sweety Annette, she's been bowhunting with me for all of our "about 33 years" of married life. Yeah she shoots wheels but I'm just glad she lets me tag along :)...4finger

Ms Traditional

Hard to tell form the pic but it appears your way nock high! Might want to double check it with a bow square, would definitely help your accuracy.

Have you ever tried 5 1/2 inch shields 6 stacked instead of full feathers? Guarantee you'll connect with more squirrels! The lower profile improves arrow speed but still stops the arrow at a "safe distance." I use the 6 stacked 5 1/2 inch shields for ducks and small game.

You lucky fellas....must be nice to have a mate that is your hunting partner, my wife is a grand lady...lot sweeter than I, but she wont cook my wild game much less go hunting with me. But, she makes up for it though....she puts up with me.
One thing for sure....she can shoot a gun better than me.
