Longbow Turkey in Kansas this weekend

Postby McClura » Mon Oct 27, 2014 3:58 pm

Took this turkey with my Longriver Longbow, 15 yds from my tree stand. Dead right there. My first from a tree stand.

Here's one of John and his Turkey. Don't know what was said to him just at shutter time, but I'm sure it wasn't nice. :applaud:

Here is another photo of John being more serious, like most of you know him. :rolf:
And one pic of the four that braved the heat just so we go to Fat Boy's Diner for a steak Sat night and visit

Always a great time when Greyden's house is filled with "Uncles". Sometimes we even kill things. John killed a HUMONGOUS hackberry tree last weekend. It didn't go far, just across a road leading to a feeder. Went out this week and field dressed it with my McCulloch. Took me about an hour to get it all off the road. Temps are getting better, as in much colder, but the wind is awful so I slept in this morning.
