My little man gets a buck!

Postby LadyHawk » Mon Sep 29, 2014 11:12 am

I am a proud Momma right now. My boy has put 3 youth deer season under his belt. He has been very selective and had never dropped his hammer until Saturday night.
He made a perfect 30 yard heart shot with his .45 Mike Lange Rugrat rifle. The patched round ball dropped the buck where he stood.
Kolton kept his cool and waited for the perfect shot. What I was most proud of was the respect and care he showed for his buck after the kill.

Congratulations for a job well done, both Kolton for being a true sportsman and to Mama for bringing him up right. Ladyhawk, I've got to tell you I am seriously envious of you. I never got to have any kids; when I see things like this it really brings in to sharp, clear focus just how much I've missed out on. Again, I say congrats and thanks for proving, once again, that how one shoots is way more important than what caliber one shoots.
