Had the chance to wear and review this mid-layer shirt and it is everything I hoped it to be. It is an athletic fit and is designed to be worn as a mid layer or next to skin. I wore it both ways. It is not loose fitting so you may want to size up if that is what you desire. I was extremely pleased with the Jaaros' performance, warmth factor, and quietness while sneaking around on my last hunt in Texas after feral hogs. Twice I had to remove the mid layer in 30-40 degree weather from being too warm. At just over 9 ounces it packs nicely in a backpack or fanny pack. The quality of the Sherpa is top of the line and I am considering more gear as I type this review. Sherpa offers gear in;
- Base Layers
When you need a lightweight, highly-packable piece that offers more warmth than the average base layer, but isn't as heavy as a sweater, this micro-fleece shirt fits the bill to a tee. The fleece is breathable and quick to dry. Wear it alone or layer over it for more warmth in cold weather.
- Wicking finish helps keep you dry and comfortable
Raglan sleeves reduce chafing under pack straps
Side zip pocket at waist keeps necessities close at hand
Smooth outer finish improves durability
