Shed some light on my Hawk

Post by CeruleanSky » Sun Jun 20, 2010 4:53 pm

Does anyone recognize this great work? I got this hawk as part of a trade some years back. At first I was reluctant but, now I am the better for it. I have used this tool on everything from hanging pictures and sinking nails to some dirty camp work. It has somewhat hardened carbon steel on both striking sides that have been dove tailed and forged in. The Friend I got it from on trade told me which State it was from but I can not be for sure. He said Pennsylvania but that could very well be because it has a keystone look to the cutting edge and nothing else. It also has a snake capping the top.

Dixie Gun Works used to carry a similiar one years back. I thin the pole was more plain than yours. Nice hawk.
