Oops! Now What?

Postby Winter Hawk » Tue Apr 03, 2012 9:53 pm

I missed the foam target and hit the side of the shed. Instead of sticking, the arrow bounced off (I think it hit a nail head). When I picked it up I saw the point was driven into the shaft. Is there a remedy? I tried clamping the point in my vice and reefing on the arrow but that did not work. Can it be saved or do I use it for stump shooting and go on with life?

Ouch! Not one I've seen before. Did you try heating it while pulling?

You have swedged the end, make it 1 inch shorter and go for it all over again.

BTW Nice shot on the nail. those are tough targets :applaud: :rolf:
