Help Solve This Mystery

Post by KsBow » Sun Mar 16, 2014 7:56 pm

OK, I removed the chip on a camera over a feeder and I found multiple pictures of this yearling. I'm trying to figure out if it's an injury or a birth defect. I had a student bring me a dead fawn years ago, that had a lower jaw that wasn't fully developed. This yearling seems to be able to eat. Take a look and share your ideas please. I call it flapper, cause it looks flapper jawed to me. :?

Look at the nose- the nostrils are angled also. Looks like the jaw didn't develope. You might be right about the birth defect- Looks pretty healthy except for that.
