Venison Broccoli Bake

Postby Greywolf » Tue May 04, 2010 11:58 pm

I discovered this great easy recipe.... it can be altered to fit what ever meat you want to use.

1 healthy pound of ground or cubed venison (chicken, wild game of any kind)
1 14 oz box of Stove Top stuffing
1 28 oz can of Cream of Mushroom soup
1 large Broccoli crown
1 cup milk
1 package of shredded cheese

Preheat oven to 350, also butter a 9 X 12 Pyrex baking dish.

In a large bowl, cream soup and milk together, add dry season herb package of the stuffing set aside to let the flavors mix. (for single box of mixed stuffing, place contents in collender and shake over mixing bowl, remove breadcrumbs and use spices)
Cook meat to your liking.
Cut Broccoli crown into bite size pieces
After letting the soup set for a few minutes combine in the mixing bowl. Meat, broccoli and 1/2 half of the cheese. turn the mixture over till all is coated, then fold in dry bread crumbs.
Scoop mixture into the baking dish and even out mixture but don't smash it flat.

Bake in the oven middle rack for 35 minutes. Remove from the oven and shut off the heat. Sprinkle remaining cheese evenly on top. Place back inside the oven for 5 more minutes to melt cheese.

Serves 4-6.... wash dish afterwards...... there won't be any left when dinner is over.

Caution, Let cool 10 minutes before serving........ Broccoli on the inside is hot be careful.

Enjoy....

It's good even for those who don't particularly like Broccoli, try it. Will all the other seasoning it blends well together. Best thing is you can make it, put it all together in the afternoon, then bake it later, bout 45 minutes before your ready to eat.

I should know, I'm not a broccoli person at all, I was very pleasantly surprised.
