Graduation Bow

Postby stillwaterselfbows » Wed Jul 30, 2014 9:42 pm

I just finished a new bow for my youngest nephew. He just graduated from HS in May and received the honor of making All-State in Basketball. This young man has grown up in the woods hunting since he was about six years old. He has taken several deer and hogs as well as a couple of 180+ bucks but has never hunted with trad / primitive equipment. I missed his graduation due to being out of State for work. My wife and girls went and he told them he really had hoped for a selfbow, how could I say no? Tomorrow night he plays his last basketball game in the small school All-State games. To say the least I’m really proud of how this boy has turned into a man. When he is done with the game he will get his new bow.

Specs - 59" NTN, 48 lbs at 28".
Thanks for looking

Congratulations to Caleb on graduation, All State and most of all a young man with outstanding character. You don't accomplish all that without a great family behind you and showing you the way. Y'all can be proud. :77: :77:
You did an awesome job on the bow, Tommy, I know he will cherish it and never forget the gift or the special uncle who made it happen. I for one would like to see a picture of the presentation added to this thread.

Nice bow! :D I like the lines on the grip to the fades. Should make a great shooter. He will be proud of that.

Great looking bow Tommy and nice gesture for what sounds like a great young man.
