this spring's latest

I've been workin over the winter to restore a couple pistols, one for my son and one for me.
I'm almost done.. :D
I don't know the providence of the originals because these were all parts scrounged from various places or thanks to our friends at Deer creek, and ToW...

Both are .50cal CVA(kits?) and were restored to as close as I could to what I think was intended originally..... The Kentucky pistol is a match for my son's .50 rifle, and the flint mountain pistol is the mate to the flint Mt. rifle I restored a while back.

Thanks Captchee! Appreciate the thumbs up! I have two more projects on the bench but they are not much to look at yet. They are more custom work ..... I'll post something when I get a bit farther into at least one of them.

I've added some turquoise inlay to the wire work and still need to go back and relieve the inlet in the lock so the barrel sits down a bit more but the finish on the wood is coming along.....
