Rocky Mountain Selfbow Jamboree

Postby KsBow » Mon Jul 18, 2016 4:03 pm

Looks like the OSS will be heading to Montana next July to help put on the initial Rocky Mountain Selfbow Jamboree. We'll be taking equipment and Osage for participants. We'll be trying to find someone that knows enough about building selfbows to actually instruct participants...lol..
Looks like we'll have a lot of guys heading for cooler weather and fish....errr....bow building for a few days. This is the brainchild of Tim Roberts and Mark Baker, two great friends of OSS and Traditional Bowhunting. Stay tuned for more updates and specifics. Sounds like fun huh?? :applaud:

Sounds good. We need to decide on a rendezvous point for a caravan to Montana.

Sounds good to me! Only 1270 miles from my house, about 17 hours. Think John could stay awake that long? John would be in the back seat and it would be just me and Buddy, my navigator, taking in the sites. I could make a side trip to Gilete, WY and visit with the guys we Antelope hunt with around there and then on the way back I could hit SW Colorado and visit with my buddy there that I used to Elk Hunt with. Maybe back down through Sante Fe and pick up some good Mexican food and back through the Panhandle of Ok and home. Not that many miles.
Sign me up.
I guess I need to cut some wood to sell when I get there to pay for the gas back. HAH

Is someone going to take one of the trailers with gear in it?
