Josh's first trad hunt

Postby Oklahoma Leatherman » Thu Oct 03, 2013 6:49 am

Josh and I were able to go to elk hunting camp in S. Colorado recently. Although neither of us were able to purchase an elk tag this time around we did enjoy some great fishing and small game hunting. Josh shot his first grouse but was not able to secure it before it flew off with his arrow.

Within a couple of days the squirrels were in danger around Josh. He was shooting a #32 longbow built by Doug Rutter. I can't wait for next season when Josh, Matt and I will be chasing elk once again in the mountains, Lord willing.

Congrats on a successful trip in the wilderness. That is quality time with your son. Sounds like the Kreger family will have several stories to share around the :campfire: this weekend at our OSS Members Hunt.
