Thanks, it was fun making it
....there will be more to come. Collecting parts to build a sander thicknesser so I can make laminations. I want to build some take down longbow/hybrid bows similar to big Jim Babcock's.

Nice bow. I bet it is fun to shoot. Hickory is really smooth with a cedar arrow.
When you get the lamination thing down and start building laminate bows, let me know. I have some ideas on a bow. I'm just on the east side of Norman.

Thanks, it shoots pretty nice, little to no hand shock. I took it to an archery shop and had them test the draw weight on their scale...53lbs at 28". Im pretty happy with how it came out especially since it was my first homemade bow. I had shot nothing but a compound bow for the last 25 years or so. Forgot how much fun a traditional bow can be. I purchased some premade cedar arrows from the archery store on Epperly drive in MWC. I will at some point get a fletching jig so I can build my own arrows.

I figured I'd find you here!

Getting ready to go chase mulies here in NV, I drew a archery tag in the second draw. It's a good unit so we will see. I have been shooting my recurve and feel good! Hopefully I can get close enough in this durn open country!

Nice bow! Where's mine?
