Hello from Stillwater

Post by Bloodhound25 » Tue Jan 27, 2015 10:19 pm

I'm located in Stillwater, Ok. My uncle Chris (Topher) got me interested in traditional archery and then into making bows. I started making bows and learning about bow making last summer and am hooked. I've built a couple bows but I still have a lot to learn. I have been reading books and cruising the forums here trying to learn as much as I can. Hope to get to know ya'll. :archer: :campfire: :archer2:

Aloha Zack
Welcome to the Tradrag.

It's a small little quiet place we have here, not real big but it's a great place.
Pull up a log and set a while. We have a few people here who build some real nice bows.
Check out the Bowyers Workshop, they got longbow, recurve and self bows, knife making.
Broadheads just about anything ya want.

Thank Ya'll!! I've noticed you have some very nice builds on there. If I ever get around to making a longbow or recurve I may have some questions for you. For now I think I will stick to making selfbows.

Welcome to TradRag, Zack. Topher's a great guy and you're lucky to have him for an Uncle. I'm sure we'll meet if we haven't already, I'm getting old and can't remember everyone. :D

Gary, I was at the summer campout. I made my first bow there! I can't remember everyone I talked to either.

That's OK Zack, most of us are so old we can't remember if we're coming or going. Hopefully we'll remember enough to keep the fires going in you to become an accomplished Bowyer. Nothing better than to be called a Bowyer!! Hope you're coming to Banquet in Norman. All day Saturday at Sooner Legends. Gonna be a Great Day. :campfire:
