New from SC!

Post by rdahunter » Tue Jan 13, 2015 1:43 am

Hey everyone,
I found this site while looking for information on how to build a re-curve bow. I have had very mild success in nine attempts and am finally looking for help.
I have learned many things from my previous failures, and those lessons have educated me enough to build a bow that gets about 50 yards out of a 23 inch draw. Obviously this isn't strong enough to hunt with but I am closer to my goal of 50 lbs@28 inch draw.
Of all the information I have read through on the internet, I have found none so helpful as what is on this site. A big thanks goes to Greywolf for taking the time to post such a detailed build along for the public to learn from. I believe that my next attempt will be successful if I combine what I learned on my own with the knowledge I gained from that build along.

Aloha rdahunter,

Due to work schedule, I'm on here just now and then, got a couple of longbows in the works right now, so any daylight hours are used to have fun doing those.
