first week of trapping season

Postby twistedlimbs » Tue Nov 09, 2010 9:29 am

This is my first week of trapping season as a montana resident. i started it off with a pretty short line of mixed sets. but i came out with
8 beaver
16 muskrats 4 more today so 20 rats (today is actually the week mark)
1 coon
and a big 27" mink
i havent been targeting coon and mink really yet b\c its been unseasonable warm (until today) so the pelts have been a bit blue still. next week should turn them so i will be getting after them as well. although i have had trapping experience in the past i realized this was my first year trapping in several years..lol oh how time flies

oh.. that is awesome! :applaud: You'll have to show off some pelts we you can. Seems like a great reintroduction to trapping after a little hiatus. Good luck!
