Nope. I finally tried setting cookies to not delete when I get off the confuser but that didn't make any difference either.

Re: flint conversion

Great job! How did you address the touch hole situation? Did you saw off the drum at the barrel flat and leave it at that?

Can't Log On Automatically

That says it all. I check the little box to log on automatically every time, next time I open TradRag I have to log in again. It didn't do this in the past, what gives?

Re: Conicals in a smooth bore

Not much more than with the patched round ball. The only problem I can see might be if there is a choke, but even then, since the Minie uses a flared skirt to seal the bore, it should be okay. What weight are we talking about compared to a charge of shot?

Re: What is this?

side views might be helpful. looks like two plates which are fixed and the screw handle adjust the spacing, then a third plate between them which is moved up and down by the cross bar. The shape of the plates must tell us something, but I have no idea what. Pretty neat piece of machinery, though! ~WH~

Those turned out nice! I like mittens, have several pairs & I see that I need to make some liners. Those look toastier than rag wool, which is what I have always used.

Nice shooting, to quote Captchee. Was that patched round ball, or conical? I missed that on the video.

Nice capote, by the way!

Re: Kit Gun Build Along

That looks great! If it will shoot as nice as it looks, you have a winner there. I like the lock panels being so crisp - you did a good job on that. Noticing that the lock has two screws, to me it almost screams that it needs a serpentine or Bedford County style side plate. That is my personal prefe...

I was wondering the other day how the cold would affect a bow. It would seem that the limbs would have a certain reluctance to functioning, and I don't want to go out and have my bow delaminate on me.

Re: Stickbow close!

I have fond memories of being on Suemez Island in SE Alaska (West of Prince of Wales Island) laying out logging roads. On the way back to camp we had to cross a huge muskeg. In the middle was a scraggly little tree, about 4" in diameter. As we walked by it, there was a little buck standing behind it...
