Well GW, to tell ya the truth I have been so busy work'n,eat'n & sleep'n that I've not had much time for the computer except to just peek in on a few of my favorite sites every now n then.

Howdy old friends, I've not been around for awhile...but I figured you guy's would appreciate this hatchet I just finished, It's made from L-6 with jigged bone and micarta hanles

Sorry GW, but after we got done shaveing those hogs, my dad took a fancy to this one and I gave it to him.
But I do plan on making some more of this style.

Well sir,I have never made one out of bed rail material and really dont know if it would make a decent knife or not.I can say that I use quite a bit of sawmill blade steel and the temper process that works for me and "that steel" goes like this.....Immediatly afer the quench when cool enough to pick...

Hey fellows,I posted this one on the other sites that I frequent and I frequent this one too... so heres a little knife I made from sawmill steel with buffalo horn and some tough yellow rubber flap material off a shot blast machine at my job,I done a little file work and etched it to show the quench...

Here's some knives I've been working on for awhile trying to get done for some coworkers and I know how you guy's like to see home made knives! All made from an old sawmill blade and all have a little vine file work.
